Gratitude

I'm grateful for a mother and young women leaders who introduced me to the basics of sewing and pattern making.  Thanks to this skill I was able to help Bryan with a 'special' project. However, I wish I'd paid better attention in geometry.  The pattern sure had some crazy angles!

Cookies?

Typical Sunday afternoon at the Kemps...
Daniel: Mom, can I make cookies?
Mom:  Sure kiddo, knock yourself out.
    30 minutes later
Daniel:  Mom, wanna cookie?
Mom:  Wow!  Thanks Daniel!

 I love that handsome guy!!

I'm grateful for self-reliant kiddos!!

Puppet Show Fun

I love to see our children's imagination at work!

Each of our children have loved playing with this puppet stage. It was a clearance sale item and it's been the source of many hours of fun.   Talk about a great find!!

Family Scripture Study?

Sometimes this is what family scripture study looks like at the Kemp home. Children faking that they are asleep.  Silly kiddos!

Memory Lane

Bryan and Daniel were out running errands when they decided to drive down Memory Lane and visit the apartment complex which was our home when we first moved to this sunny city. This lovely little apartment was Daniel's first home! It seems like it was just yesterday that we welcomed our little angel baby.

I both loved and despised this gate.
It was great when it worked and a royal pain when it didn't!

We spent many hours in this swimming pool.

Ours was the apartment on the left, good 'ol number 236.

Fathers & Sons

Our boys LOVE camping!!
They had a great time at this year's fathers and sons camp out.
I'm so grateful they have the chance to participate in fun activities like this.

Roses

As a little girl, I have wonderful and fond memories of Grandma Sara's and Grandma Emilia's roses. Needless to say that when we purchased our home, one of the first things we did was designate a corner of the yard to be a rose garden.

Just the other day, Dad took our little girl outside to show her "our rose garden". What a tender moment!! Don't they make a beautiful pair?
